Broken Bracket At Brunch

Let’s say a bracket become loose or broken, do not panic! Even though it seems like the worst possible situation, Dr. Rand is here to help! If the bracket has fallen off completely and is bother you, just place a small amount of wax on the back of the bracket so it is secure. The call our off and schedule an appointment!

Dry, Chapped Lips

The winter season is here, making everyone’s skin more sensitive. And with braces, having dry, chapped is a recipe for disaster. To prevent and cuts from braces, make sure to keep your lips moisturized! Licking your lips will only make things worse, so make sure you have a chapstick filled with vitamin A and E! Mouth Sores

Sometimes when getting  new appliance, your mouth and cheeks are in pain. A salt water mouthwash will help! Mix a teaspoon of salt into 8 oz of warm water and you are all set! If that doesn’t seem to help, you can always try topical anesthetics for temporary pain relief (aka Orajel).
