How Professional in office Whitening Works
Professional Whitening is a highly effective and safe teeth-whitening treatment that can enhance the appearance of your smile by several shades in a single session. It is a fast and convenient way to achieve a brighter, more youthful-looking smile.

Before Your Treatment
Roughly two weeks leading up to your whitening treatment, Dr. Manzella recommends swapping out your regular toothpaste for Sensodyne. This will help make your teeth less sensitive to the whitening treatment.
During Your Treatment
Manzella Orthodontics will offer you up to three teeth-whitening sessions as part of your whitening treatment. Each session lasts about 15 minutes. We advise only two or three sessions for teens.
After Your Treatment
After your whitening treatment, you may notice your teeth are more sensitive than usual. That’s fine, and it will ease up in the coming days. If your teeth hurt, Ibuprofen can help. Also, try to put aside cold drinks or food for a couple days!
Don’t spoil your whitening progress! For 12-24 hours after treatment, stay away from foods and drinks that could stain your teeth, such as coffee, tea, or soda. You may also want to steer clear of candy, chocolate, and dark sauces.
Need a tuneup? Keep those pearly whites bright with an annual whitening session or custom whitening trays for at-home brightening.
